This means that when you or an authorized person have received and signed the acknowledgment receipt, manu will transfer the ownership and the risk of losing of any product under your name.

Suppliers

You can buy in manu a wide range of products from the manufacturers or wholesalers.

manu is not responsible for inspecting, assessing, or guaranteeing any manufacturer's or wholesaler's products.

manu has no responsibility for the activities of the suppliers or any other third parties, nor for the products and their contents.

Product description

manu shall have no liability or warranty about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the published product descriptions, nor that they are up to date or error-free.

If a product purchased through manu does not meet its specifications, the sole option is refusing to receive it and submit a claim to get a refund.

Purchasing process

When you purchase any product in manu, you are giving permission to manu to buy it from the manufacturer (or distributor) on your behalf, but at your expense.

The manufacturers (or wholesalers) set a minimum order quantity for each product, which we refer to as the manufacturer's order.

The manufacturers (or distributors) can offer lines of products (a group of related products, for instance: office supplies). In these cases, the manufacturers (or wholesalers) can set a minimum order quantity for any line of products based on volume (Mt3) or weight (kg).

You do not have to purchase the manufacturer’s order of any product because we consolidate the customers’ orders within the same shipping country or region to complete the manufacturer's minimum order quantity of each product or product line. This means you can buy as much of any product as you want, regardless of whether it is part of a line or not.

manu consigns the products that you buy to our subsidiary company in your country, which is responsible for delivering them to your doorstep, along with a sales invoice with tax validity for the total price paid, issued by that company.

Orders consolidation

We consolidate our customers' orders by product or product line and shipping country or region to complete the manufacturer's order.

You will be able to monitor the progress of any manufacturer's order while checking any product.

If a product’s order exceeds the manufacturer's current order, manu will automatically split this order into two (2) parts:

  • The first portion is to complete the manufacturer's current order.

  • The second part is to begin the manufacturer's upcoming order.

manu will send you an email detailing how was split this product’s order.

Reserves and charges

We accept payments with credit and debit cards, also wire transfers.

Each time you pay, the payment processor places a seven (7) day reserve on your card for the total price of your order:

  1. At the time the manufacturer's minimum quantity of any of the products in your order is completed, the processor applies a partial charge for the total price of the corresponding product, and simultaneously makes a new reserve of seven (7) days for the total price of the other products. And so on, until the minimum quantity of all the manufacturers of the products in your order has been completed.

The payment processor applies the reserves and charges through a tokenization process to ensure the confidentiality of your card’s information. For further information, please review our Privacy Policy.

Order cancellation

You cannot cancel your orders. Please verify carefully before checking out your orders.

If you have not received the manufacturer's complete order notification email for any of the products in your order, within a period of 30 calendar days, counted from the date of your order, you may request a refund of the amount total paid, for which you must send a request through the "Contact us" section.

Products’ sale price

The selling price of a product and shipping cost depend on the shipping address that you set in your orders.

Most of the products have a scale of prices with additional volume discounts.

The following events may affect the total price due if the order contains products in quantities that are fewer than the manufacturer's (or wholesaler's) minimum quantity requirement:

  • The manufacturers and wholesalers update the sale price of their products from time to time.

  • The service suppliers update the costs of logistic service, such as freight, insurance, among other services, on a regular basis.

  • Modifications to the customs taxes.

Manufacturers (or wholesalers) have the right to modify the sale price of their products at any moment. The logistic service suppliers (such as freight companies, insurance companies, among other suppliers) may update their costs at any time. In fact, every country's government may, in its sole discretion, modify the customs taxes at any moment.

These updates will only affect those products whose manufacturer's order has not been yet completed.

In these instances, manu will send you an email asking you to accept or reject your order within a non-extendable period of two (2) business days, starting on the sending date:

  • If you confirm, manu will update the total price due for your order and the applied reserve on your credit or debit card.

  • If you reject, manu will eliminate the affected products from your order:

  1. If your order contains several products, manu will update the total price due for your order and the applied reserve on your credit or debit card.

  2. If your order contains only one product, manu will cancel your order and the applied reserve on your credit or debit card.

Sample request

You can request samples of the products that have this option and verify their quality before making your first order.

Delivery of your purchases

You can view the estimated delivery time (in days) of any product by adding it to your shopping cart, which it is calculated from the container's shipment date. You will also be able to view graphically and in percentages how much of the manufacturer's current order is still outstanding.

The manufacturers (or wholesalers) require a minimum order quantity of any product (manufacturer order). The manufacturer’s order will be equivalent up to six (6) standard pallets. Exceptionally, manufacturer’s order of any products could be up to twentyfour (24) standard pallets (or a 40 Ft container), under manu’s only discretion.

You will also be able to view graphically and in percentages how much of the current container is still outstanding.

The shipping process of each container toward your shipping country will begin when the exporting warehouse have received the standard pallets that fill each one. In general, the shipping process should take three (3) business days.

Once manu has paid for the customs taxes within the shipping country, manu will send an email to all our customers (in certain cases, a phone call) notifying them of the delivery date of their purchases.

We reserve the right to edit any information published on manu at any moment at our sole discretion.

Sales exclusivity

manu will select the most competitive suppliers to grant them the exclusivity to sell their products through manu in certain countries, based on the terms of sales exclusivity.

There are two (2) types of sales exclusivities:

  1. Sales exclusivity by product and shipping country or region. This type of exclusivity states that the exclusive manufacturer or wholesaler will be the only supplier authorized to sell a specific product through manu in a specific country, regardless of brand.

  2. Sales exclusivity by brand and shipping country or region. This type of exclusivity states that the exclusive manufacturer or wholesaler will be the only supplier authorized to sell a product of a specific brand through manu in a specific country. This means that another manufacturer or wholesaler may sell the same product of a different brand thought manu in the same country.

In our sole discretion, we reserve the right to choose on a case-by-case basis the type of sales exclusivity we will grant to each exclusive supplier.

Validity period

The validity period of the sales exclusivity is one (1) year.

Countries

At our sole discretion, we reserve the right to decide on a case-by-case basis the countries of sales exclusivity that we will grant to each exclusive supplier.

Exclusive suppliers selection

The interested manufacturers and wholesalers must submit proposals in PDF format through the "Contact Us" section, in compliance with the terms of sales exclusivity.

manu will evaluate the terms of the proposals received by product and assign ten (10) points to the most competitive proposal in each term.

manu will sum up the points assigned to each proposal and grant the sales exclusivity by product or brand and shipping country or region to the manufacturer or wholesaler whose proposal has obtained the highest score.

manu will email the results of each evaluation to the participating suppliers, without disclosing their identities, but indicating the points assigned in each term.

manu will evaluate new proposals from other suppliers during the validity period for sales exclusivity by product and shipping country or region granted to any manufacturer or wholesaler. If the exclusive suppliers do not obtain the highest score, they will have the option to improve their initial proposals.
